Job Seekers - Voluntary work approval |
|
Brackets has gained approval from the Federal Govt to host job seekers undertaking voluntary work through both the Department of Families, Commmunity Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaCSIA) Voluntary Work Initiative and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) Community Work Program.
Centrelink customer eligibility for approved voluntary work differs according to age, length of unemployment and current level of employment assistance, and job seekers need to obtain separate approval from Centrelink before starting voluntary work with Brackets.
|
We have implemented the sending of short text messages to those whose mobile phone numbers we have as reminders of our events or if there is a situation where an event is cancelled.
If you have not received one of these messages but you would like to then CLICK HERE to add your details |
Brackets North will be on hold for a few months due to major renovations at our existing Lake Munmorah venue.
Rest assured we will be back BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER.
The work being undertaken will enhance the Brackets & Jam experience for all, performers, crew and patrons alike. WATCH this space for further updates and news regarding a special birthday bash in September. |
Introduction
Once again I take great pleasure in stating that Brackets & Jam Central Coast Inc. has had a good year with positive outcomes for the Central Coast community as well as for the organisation. It has not been a smooth ride with a high level of administration being required to support the continuous increase in activity undertaken in the past year including the cessation of our Newcastle activities, the interest shown in replicating Brackets in Victoria and the highest yet level of activity in other community events across the region.

A project being managed by a consortium made up of Brackets and Jam and Fusion Arts which will provide a hub for art and cultural groups across the Central Coast.
There are many arts and cultural silos in our community who are operating in isolation and often disengaged from the greater arts and cultural community, often with very limited resources. The hub will be an opportunity for all of these organisations to network and share resources with each other building community connectedness & social relationships by providing intergenerational opportunities for recreation & leisure through cultural expression & participation.
